When I arrive at a new cat sit sometimes a cat will have large pupils. They are scared since they don’t know me yet. 

I get level with the cat and make eye contact. Then I do a few very slow blinks.  

Most of the time I will see their pupil contract and they will blink back! Slow blinks in cat language = I mean you no harm.  It is a great way to begin a cat sit.  


Try slow blinking to your cats, they should blink back to you too!
